School change my life!

    Everyone has their own life. Have you ever think about things very important that mean you so much. I'm twenty two years old now and still a college student. I think school change my life because it make me feel fresh to everything. There are three effects that school change my life: knowledge, social, develop talents.

    When I was six, everything is change. I went to elementary school and study. Besides playing with classmates, I also learn language, math, science, and art. I enjoy learning foreign languages and hate math. These subjects made me understand that knowledge is very important. In that time, I knew that I can learn many things. I can know the knowledges what I like or the things I don't like.

    Before I went to school, I always play at home and rarely go out. After I went to school, the environment forced me to communicate to other students. First time I felt nervous to make friends then I played with classmates and united friends group. I have to learn watching others every mood. This is the starting of the social life.

    When I was in junior high school, I started to develop some talents. I love singing and dancing. I joined a modern dance crew and won a excellent award of national dance competition. In addition to attending dance crew, I also participated in school choir. These talents make me feel beautiful of life.
Now, I still sing and dance for my hobbies.

    I think that school change me a better life. I received much knowledge from school. Communicating with other students to build the social life. And also, I developed many talents by school. I like to be a student to learn more things. School is a very good choice to everyone.

   

The causes of global warming

      Today's technology is slowly progress, but the natural environment is slowly being destroyed.  Our planet is now facing a number of crises. Global warming now is a very serious topic, not only gradually melting Antarctic glaciers, even the waters of the Arctic Sea has gradually warming. Some islands are also facing the problem of disappearing, but many problems have been produced. How do we solve these problems? How to protect our planet? There are three causes of the global warming: rising earth's surface temperature, climate change, and rising sea levels.

       This is the first we have heard of global warming reaction that the rising earth's surface temperature. From the foregoing description, you should understand how the global warming has a direct impact on the Earth's temperature. If you do not control the amount of greenhouse gas emissions, the average temperature of the Earth estimated rising in approximately 2 degrees Celsius in 2050. That time will be implicated in the changes described below.    

       Global warming is caused by climate change. Global warming will result in shortening the Northern Hemisphere winter, then more wet and cold. The summer will get longer, hotter and drier. Because of the temperature rises, the increase in the rate of evaporation of water vapor affect rainfall patterns. In some areas into drought are resulting in the expansion of desertification. On the contrary, the increasing rainfall in some areas and the distribution of the plant will be greatly affected.

      As global temperatures rising, the melting glaciers in Greenland and Antarctica will increase the ocean water. It estimated to increase in sea level of about 15 to 95 centimeters in 2100. Then the sea also flooded low-lying areas. One third of global residents of living in the edge of the coast, will face the survival threat.

      These issues are worthy of our attention. And now the most important thing is that we work together to guard our planet, guard our homes. We are all part of the earth. Let us protect the earth, from now on. I hope everyone can do something. Let's have a clean planet for future generations of children and grandchildren to retain a beautiful planet.

Differences between Motorcycles and Cars

      Many people all around the world need transportation to go everywhere, especially for the long distance travel. Most people choose cars or motorcycles to use, because they are easy to get, unlike planes or cruises. Motorcycles and cars are convenient  to drive and ride on the roads.  There are three differences between them, manipulations, fuel consumption, and the eco problems.

      First, I think motorcycles are easy to work. I can just use my hands to accelerate and brake. But driving a car needs me to use my hands and feet to control. I think cars are more dangerous than motorcycles the manipulation. It is more difficult to operate than motorcycles.

      Second, many people who have cars in Taiwan are always concerned about the price of petroleum.Cars consume more fuel than motorcycles. Because of the air-conditioning, lower water temperature,or use engine oil in inappropriate way, they are the reason of cars consumption. By contrast, motorcycles just consume for engine system. Of course the huge price is for cars.

       According to Taichung city pass the lower carbon city law in 2021, everyone should stop to ride the motorcycles in the specific areas. To decrease the motorcycles  can lower the CO2 emission. I think we should choose driving cars or riding bike to replace the motorcycles.

       Finally, these differences between motorcycles and cars make me know lots of informations of them. Although the complicated manipulation and fuel consumption, I still choose cars better than motorcycles. I think car is convenient to load many things and comfortable. I can drive. But now,
I just need to purchase a car by myself.

Differences between Chinese Valentine's and Tom Sweeping Festival

        Many Chinese people love to celebrate for festivals. In Chinese traditions, there are two festivals I think it's very different of it meaning. They are Chinese Valentine's and Tomb Sweeping festival.There are three differences between them: celebration events, representatives stories, and the money as a symbol.        

       With the events for celebrating this two festivals, many couples love to go to have a big meal inChinese Valentine's and send flowers as a gift. On Tomb Sweeping days, we sweep the Tomb and make Chinese Burritos as celebration.        

       Then, the representatives are different for them. Most of people know that cupid is as a symbol for western Valentine's. But in Chinese Valentine's, our represent person are Cowherd and Weaving maid ( characters in folk story). There is no human representative of Tomb Sweeping, it represent by solar terms.        

       And the most funny one is the money symbol between this two holidays. On Valentine's, we spend real money for celebrate. By contrary, we burn ghosts money for the spirits that means they can spend money in the three degrees.        

       According to these differences between the Chinese Valentine's and Tomb Sweeping Festivals, we know how to celebrate in different ways, who represent as a symbol, and the money for real and spirits. I think how to celebrate depends on your own way not all follow with traditions.

Comparing life in high school to life in college

          I'm now a prospective graduate student of college in Taiwan.  Speaking of my student life, it's very interesting and have a lot of impressions of high school student to become a college student. There are many differences between high school and college: relationship, timetable, costume.  

          First of all, high school student should know every students in their class, because they have to be together five days a week in the same class. But it's different in college. Students in college may have different classes in different majors. They can't remember every students in different class, because some students you may see once a week.

          Second, school arrange timetable in high school. Every high school students should go to school before 7:30, because some schools have morning rally once or twice a week at the square. High school's time schedule is from 7:40 to 5:00 everyday. Some students even forced to study at the evening to 9:30 p.m. By contrast, we can choose class and subject ourselves in the college. We don't go to school every day or wake up early in the morning. All it can in accordance with your own schedule.

          The last one is the costume contrast. We have uniforms for high school student. It can save money for parents and save time for student to go to school early. In college, we don't have uniforms. Many students dress up to show themselves especially major in fashion department. And it's free to every student in college to have different style in their own personalities.

          Including relationship, timetable, and costume, it shows very different between life in high school and college. For me, I like the college life better and suggest the freshman control yourself not to be lazy for college life or you will fail in your grade.

Happy Chinese New Year

                Many Chinese love to celebrate for the Chinese New Year, and so do I. This year,

I felt relaxing during this holiday. I ate a lot of traditional foods in my hometown, Tainan,

because I left there for about 6 months. I miss the great foods there. And also I had a happy

time with my family. We did many things like many simple families. We united and had a big

dinner on December 30th of lunar calendar. Then, we went to the temple to pray for everyone.

Most interested thing was to play poker or mahjong. And the most important thing 

for children bet red envelopes. We love Chinese New Year!
